Terms, Cancellations, Refunds & Privacy

These terms apply to services purchased from The Times Keeper Media Inc. Individual programs, projects, promotions or service agreements may include additional or different terms. Where a separate written agreement applies, the terms of that agreement will govern to the extent of any inconsistency.

All prices are in Canadian dollars (CAD) unless otherwise stated. Applicable taxes are added at checkout or invoicing.

1. Music Lessons & Coaching

Drop-In Sessions

Drop-in music lessons and coaching sessions may be cancelled or rescheduled with at least 24 hours' notice.

When at least 24 hours' notice is provided, the amount paid will remain available as a credit toward a future equivalent booking.

Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice, and missed appointments without notice, are not eligible for a refund or credit except at the instructor's discretion.

If the instructor or coach cancels a session, the client will retain the full value of the booking as a credit toward a future session.

Flexible Lesson or Coaching Packages

Sessions purchased as part of a flexible-scheduling package follow the same 24-hour cancellation policy.

Package credits are intended for the specific lessons or coaching sessions purchased and must be used within 12 months of the original purchase date, subject to any rights provided by applicable law.

Unused package credits are not redeemable for cash except where required by law.

Weekly Reserved Lessons

Weekly students reserve a regular recurring time in the instructor's schedule and are expected to attend their scheduled sessions.

A missed session does not automatically entitle the student to a replacement lesson, refund or credit. Rescheduling of student-cancelled or missed weekly sessions is wholly at the discretion of the instructor.

If the instructor cancels a weekly session and a replacement session is not provided, the student will receive a credit or refund equal to the per-lesson value of the missed session. This adjustment will normally be applied at the student's next monthly billing date.

Unless a separate fixed-term commitment or agreement applies, students may discontinue regular weekly lessons by providing at least one week's notice.

Fixed-Term Lesson or Coaching Programs

Some lessons, coaching arrangements or introductory offers may involve a fixed-term commitment. The specific price, duration, payment schedule and cancellation terms disclosed for that offer form part of the agreement.

Where a fixed-term program is offered with an instalment payment option, choosing to pay in instalments rather than a single payment does not convert the program into a month-to-month service. The client remains responsible for the payments agreed to for the fixed term, subject to applicable law.

Continuation after a fixed-term introductory program is optional and will be offered under the pricing and terms applicable at that time.

2. Group Programs & Events

Unless different terms are clearly stated for a particular program or event, participants who cancel 14 days or more before the scheduled start date are eligible for a refund of 75% of the amount paid.

Cancellations made less than 14 days before the scheduled start date are non-refundable.

If the organizer cancels a program or event, participants will receive a full refund of amounts paid for the cancelled program or event, or may choose an equivalent credit where one is offered.

Program or Event Postponement

If a program or event is postponed or rescheduled by the organizer, registrations will automatically transfer to the new date.

Participants who are unable to attend the rescheduled date may request a full refund of the amount paid.

Any program-specific registration agreement, payment plan or cancellation terms presented before purchase will supersede this general policy.

3. Podcast & Media Production

Podcast, audio, video and other media-production services are generally governed by a project-specific proposal, quote or service agreement.

Where a project-specific agreement exists, that agreement governs the project's payment, cancellation, revision, delivery and refund terms.

In the absence of a separate agreement, fees for work already completed or expenses already incurred are non-refundable.

4. Refunds

Approved refunds will normally be returned using the original method of payment.

Processing times may vary depending on the payment provider or financial institution.

Nothing in this policy takes away any cancellation, refund or other consumer rights that the law gives you.

5. Payments

Payment may be collected through third-party payment processors such as Stripe. Payment information submitted through a payment processor is handled according to that provider's security and privacy practices.

Where a client agrees to an instalment or recurring payment arrangement, the payment method provided may be charged according to the schedule disclosed and accepted at the time of purchase.

Additional charges will not be imposed beyond those disclosed and agreed to at the time of purchase or subsequently authorized by the client.

6. Privacy

Personal information is collected only as reasonably necessary to provide services, communicate with clients, administer bookings and payments, maintain business records, and meet legal or regulatory obligations.

Payment-card information is processed by third-party payment providers and is not directly stored by The Times Keeper Media Inc. except to the extent made available through those providers' secure systems.

Personal information will not be sold to third parties.

Information may be shared with service providers where reasonably necessary to operate the business, process payments, manage bookings or deliver services, or where disclosure is required by law.

Clients may contact the business to ask questions about their personal information or request correction of information held about them.
