03 · What to Expect
Beginner guitarists will receive an introductory course of lessons, and practise plans designed to help equip you with basic skills for playing the guitar.
We’ll focus on learning simple versions of songs most people have heard.
Lessons will be based on the Hal Leonard Guitar Method beginner series, Books 1–3. Students are expected to purchase a copy of the book.
Most intermediate guitarists I work with are looking for guidance on what and how to practise.
When we meet, we’ll assess your playing ability, talk about your goals with the guitar, and find the right resources to support your growth and development as a guitarist.

Lessons take place in my home studio.
Near the intersection of Robie Street and Lady Hammond Road in North End Halifax.
Nearby bus access and free on-street parking are available. Online lessons are also available.
Exact lesson location will be provided when registration is confirmed.
